love those lilac pictures, rdg! they are my absolute favorite flower & aren’t blooming yet here. i could almost smell them through my computer screen though thanks to your pics… thank you!
Your photos are always so tactile. Thank you! These will last much longer than the real ones wilting in a vase on my dresser. As an aside–what’s your take on semolina gnocchi? I love the dish at Travalotta.

As for the gnocchi, I absolutely love it. It’s been on my list of things to make for quite some time. I think gnocchi made from anything other than potatoes is delish–it’s usually less rubbery and more flavorful. Zoe makes a ricotta gnudi that is to die for and Artisanal makes a gnocchi variant that is better than the original. I’ve never had them at Tavalota, but now I’m going to have to try it!
