I only eat cookie dough fresh from the mixer, when it’s room-temp and gooey. Like mozzarella cheese, I don’t like it when it’s refrigerated and hard. But I can’t very well waste all that dough clinging to the beater, can I? Also, fresh cookie dough is best without any chocolate chips. Just the dough, please.

I made these yesterday afternoon…and they turned out so well I ran out to the store to get more chocolate so I could make two more batches! My roommates think they are amazing too

When I was in high school, I babysat for the two daughters of my parents’ friends. We would make cookie dough without the eggs, and just eat it from the bowl while watching movies.

Do I eat cookie dough? Oh, my dear Lord…yes. One time–mid-diet–I actually bought an entire roll of cookie dough from the refrigerated section, and I had no intention of ever baking it. (I nomm’d that thing like it was my JOB.)

My favorite creation when I was a munchkin was what I liked to call “The Cookie Sandwich.” The “bread” of the sandwich was two of my mother’s homemade chocolate chip cookies (hot off the sheet!) The “meat” of the sandwich was an ice cream scoop-full of raw cookie dough. Something purely magical happened when you schmushed that glorious dough between those hot, gooey cookies.

It was like drinking unicorn tears.
