I live in Seattle. I’m a writer, a mom, a cook, a (former) teacher, and the creator of this blog.
This is Lucy, a.k.a. Little Bear.
When she’s not trying to dip my makeup brushes in peanut butter and ride the cat you can find her collecting rocks in the garden and “helping” me in the kitchen.
This is my husband Dave.
He’s my editor. My taste tester. My best pal and the most incredible father. Plus he’s pretty darn cute. Don’t you just want to give his cheeks a little pinch?
Rainy Day Gal surrounds my cooking endeavors, my jaunts about town, my mis-steps as a mother and my (sometimes misguided) efforts to turn this house into something beautiful. I love this blog to death. It’s a labor of love (and dirty dishes, and late nights), and I can’t imagine my life without it.
